About Us

Welcome to Our Lodge!

We are a community of Freemasons with a rich history of over 100 years. Our Lodge is home to the Cowboy Degree Team, a unique group that adds a fun and distinctive twist to our Masonic tradition.

Our Lodge has never had the same Worshipful Master for more than one term, ensuring that fresh perspectives and ideas are continually brought to the table. Our commitment to developing the next generation of Masons is reflected in the multiple members of our Lodge who are involved in training and mentoring programs.

We hold regular practices throughout the week that are open to members of other Lodges who wish to attend. This fosters a sense of camaraderie and fraternity among the Masonic community, while also providing an opportunity for skill-building and learning.

At our Lodge, we value the principles of brotherhood, charity, and self-improvement. We strive to make a positive impact in our community through various philanthropic endeavors and service projects.

We welcome anyone who is interested in joining our community of Masons, whether you are a seasoned member or a newcomer to the craft. We invite you to come and visit us, meet our members, and experience the spirit of Freemasonry firsthand.

Proud of our DMLA

Brotherhood is not just a bond between men, it is a shared commitment to a set of values and ideals. It is the recognition that we are all in this together, and that we are stronger when we work together. When we support each other, when we lift each other up, we create a bond that is unbreakable.

Brotherhood is more than just a word, it is a way of life. It is about putting others before yourself, about giving of yourself to make the world a better place. It is about standing by your brothers in good times and bad, and being there to lend a helping hand when needed. Brotherhood is a commitment to something greater than oneself, and it is a bond that lasts a lifetime.

History of the Trowel: The trowel has been used by masons for centuries, dating back to the ancient Egyptians who used it in their construction work. The use of the trowel was also prevalent in ancient Rome and Greece, where it was used in the construction of temples, aqueducts, and other monumental structures.

Symbolism of the Trowel: In Freemasonry, the trowel is a symbol of brotherly love and affection. It is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection, which binds Masons together into a united brotherhood. The symbolism of the trowel is derived from the operative masonry practices, where it was used to spread cement or mortar.

The trowel is also symbolic of charity, as it is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the foundation of charity. This charity is not just the giving of material possessions, but also the giving of time, energy, and talent to those in need.

Masonic Rituals Involving the Trowel: The trowel plays a significant role in many Masonic rituals. During the initiation ceremony, the candidate is presented with a trowel, which represents the Masonic virtues of brotherly love, relief, and truth. The candidate is also instructed on the symbolic significance of the trowel and how it is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection.

In the Master Mason degree, the trowel is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the foundation of the Lodge. The Master Mason is also instructed to use the trowel to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the hearts of his fellow Masons.

Conclusion: The Masonic trowel is a powerful symbol of brotherly love and affection, charity, and the unity of the Masonic brotherhood.
