We have traveled all over the state putting on Master Mason degrees for brothers who wanted to have a unique degree experience. The team strives to provide excellent ritual quality and at the same time make it an enjoyable experience for all attending. If you are interested in having the Cowboys, put on a degree for your lodge, please reach out via the contact form and the degree team director will get back with you. If you are a Master Mason and see one of the degrees on the calendar of events, feel free to contact us if you would like to be a guest and watch the event.
The degree team started putting on degrees back in 2010 and have traveled outside the state as far as Sheridan, WY and Tombstone, AZ. in our time as a degree team we have had the pleasure of performing over 250 degrees so far.
Thank you worshipful Ray Meldrum for being a great Stuart of the history and providing all the photos!
Events are an important part of our Masonic community, bringing brothers together to share knowledge, build relationships, and give back to our community. As the great Masonic philosopher Albert Pike once said, 'What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.' At our lodge, we strive to make a positive impact on the world through our charitable work, educational programs, and community events. We invite all brothers and friends of the fraternity to join us in these efforts, and to check our event calendar frequently to stay up-to-date on upcoming opportunities to connect and serve.
"We build temples in the heart that we may dwell there in spirit."
- Albert Pike
"We have a duty to befriend the lost, to encourage the faint-hearted, to warn the unruly, to cherish the faithful, and to comfort the afflicted."
- John Henry Hopkins
"Masonry teaches that the soul of man is immortal, and that it will continue to exist beyond the grave."
- George Washington

Introduction: The trowel is one of the most iconic and recognizable tools in Freemasonry. It is often depicted in Masonic art and is an integral part of many Masonic rituals. This tool has a rich history and symbolism that dates back to ancient times. In this blog post, we will explore the history and meaning of the Masonic trowel.
History of the Trowel: The trowel has been used by masons for centuries, dating back to the ancient Egyptians who used it in their construction work. The use of the trowel was also prevalent in ancient Rome and Greece, where it was used in the construction of temples, aqueducts, and other monumental structures.
Symbolism of the Trowel: In Freemasonry, the trowel is a symbol of brotherly love and affection. It is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection, which binds Masons together into a united brotherhood. The symbolism of the trowel is derived from the operative masonry practices, where it was used to spread cement or mortar.
The trowel is also symbolic of charity, as it is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the foundation of charity. This charity is not just the giving of material possessions, but also the giving of time, energy, and talent to those in need.
Masonic Rituals Involving the Trowel: The trowel plays a significant role in many Masonic rituals. During the initiation ceremony, the candidate is presented with a trowel, which represents the Masonic virtues of brotherly love, relief, and truth. The candidate is also instructed on the symbolic significance of the trowel and how it is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection.
In the Master Mason degree, the trowel is used to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the foundation of the Lodge. The Master Mason is also instructed to use the trowel to spread the cement of brotherly love and affection upon the hearts of his fellow Masons.
Conclusion: The Masonic trowel is a powerful symbol of brotherly love and affection, charity, and the unity of the Masonic brotherhood. It is an important tool in Masonic rituals and has a rich history and symbolism that dates back to ancient times. By understanding the meaning and symbolism of the trowel, Masons can deepen their understanding of the principles of Freemasonry and the bonds that unite them as brothers.
